The International Tourism Partnership (ITP), a program of the UK-based charity Business In The Community, brings together the world's leading international hotel companies to lead and promote environmental and socially responsible business
practices in the hospitality industry. Through its corporate
membership, ITP's reach extends to over 23,500 properties,
3.4 million hotel rooms and 1.5 million employees in more
than 100 countries.
ITP helps make the hospitality industry more environmentally and socially responsible by sharing best practices through
, encouraging standardization and
competition on carbon through the Hotel Carbon Measurement Initiative, and by creating more inclusive models of growth through its Youth Career Initiative.
The Althea Foundation makes direct grants to ITP, and receives donations from US-based donors and foundations interested
in supporting ITP's work.
